7 Leadership Lessons from Taylor Swift
I was watching Taylor Swift’s new docu-series on the making of the Eras Tour, and I found myself sitting there with tears streaming down my face and a full smile on my damn face.
As an entrepreneur, it was a masterclass in leadership to watch a woman trust herself fully. She held a vision that most people would have talked themselves out of. She led hundred of people with clarity, grace, humanity and conviction. UNAPOLOGETICALLY.
Taylor Swift is a living example of what embodied leadership looks like when a woman trusts her magic and lets the world rise with her.
In this solo episode of Unapologetically Yours, I reflect on seven leadership lessons inspired by Taylor Swift and the creation of the Eras Tour. This isn’t about celebrity - it’s about what becomes possible when someone chooses to lead from self-trust instead of fear.
As I watched the docu-series, what stood out to me most was how much trust was present. Trust in herself. Trust in her vision. Trust in her team. Trust in the timing. Trust in the work. Over and over again, she chose alignment over approval.
I kept thinking about how rare that is - especially for women.

7 Lessons in Leadership from Taylor Swift
Trust Your Magic.
All of my greatest missteps as an entrepreneur have happened when I didn't trust myself. When your vision feels impossible, that's exactly when you need to hold it tighter. The world needs you to bring your vision to life, especially when it feels too big, too bold, or too much.Surround Yourself with People Who Trust You.
You can't do it alone. Surround yourself with people who understand your vision, believe in it, and elevate it. Don't shrink. Don't ask permission. Hold the vision and bring it to life.Trust Your Team.
Taylor built deep trust with her team so she didn't have to waste time on minutia. She could trust that if her team was in charge of something, they'd make sure it was excellent. This allowed her to focus on what she does best.Don’t Be Afraid To Be Too Much.
Shrinking doesn't serve anyone. Holding back your ideas because you might be seen as “too much” hurts the people around you. Your vision isn't too ambitious. Your standards aren't too high. Take up space unapologetically.Be Gracious.
Grace isn't weakness. It's making sure people feel seen for who they are, not just what they do for you. Taylor introduced her backup singer as "someone I sing with" instead of diminishing her role. When you lead with grace, you create an environment where everyone can show up fully.Show Gratitude
Say thank you. Mean it. Compensate people fairly. Taylor gave over $100 million in bonuses to her crew and donated to food banks in every city. Leadership means seeing people's humanity and making sure they feel valued.Rise Together.
Taylor set a high bar with the Eras Tour and brought everyone with her. She surrounded herself with people who lifted her up and who she lifted in return. Being part of the tour meant being part of something exceptional. When one rises, we all rise.

Watching the Eras Tour felt like witnessing what happens when feminine leadership is fully embodied. There was safety. There was devotion. There was excellence without harshness.
Taylor didn’t shrink. She didn’t apologize. She didn’t lead alone.
She trusted herself, trusted her people, and set a standard so high that everyone around her rose with her.
That’s the kind of leadership that doesn’t just build success - it changes culture.
This episode is an invitation to trust your magic, even when no one else fully understands it yet. To hold the vision through doubt. To lead with humanity. And to remember that when one woman rises in her truth, she makes space for others to rise too.
